Thomas A. Miranda, EsquireTom concentrates his practice in the areas of probate of estates, real estate issues, including zoning and representation before municipal boards, representing condominium associations and homeowner's groups, business law and litigation related to these areas of his practice. Tom has successfully resolved disputes for over thirty years and is a trained Mediator providing dispute resolution services through mediation.
His trial experience includes bench and jury trials before the Superior Court and District Courts, Probate Courts and Land Court. He has also briefed and argued cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Appellate Division of the District Court in Massachusetts.
Tom currently serves as Chairman of the May Institute Human Rights Committee, which reviews issues and treatment of mentally handicapped individuals. He was Chairman of the Northampton License Commission, has served as Chairman and Officer of the Board of Directors of the Visiting Nurses Association of Northampton and the Board of Directors of the Northampton Center for the Arts. He also served as member and Officer of the Board of Directors of Valley Programs, Inc., now ServiceNet, Inc.
Tom has been practicing in Massachusetts since 1977.
He has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Hampshire County Bar Association since 1977. He was a previous delegate to the Young Lawyer's Division of the Massachusetts Bar Association and served on the Executive Committee of the Hampshire County Bar Association.
